About Neuramare

Neuramare is an independent studio based in Baar, in the Swiss canton of Zug. We design, build and publish apps and games, and we have been doing it since 2023.

01. Work

What we do

Apps

Creative tools people use every day, on the web and in the App Store and Google Play.

Games

Games that play in the browser and are made for phones, with nothing to install.

Open source

Software we build for ourselves and share openly, for others to use and improve.

02. Principles

How we work

Small and focused
A small team, a short list of products and no layers in between: the people who design a product also build, publish and support it.
Built to be used
Fast pages, clear interfaces and accessibility from the start — on a phone on a slow connection as much as on a desktop.
Open where it helps
When sharing the code makes a product better, we do: Napoland and Needless UI are open source.

03. Name

The name

Neura, as in neural. Mare, Italian for sea.

The jellyfish in our logo has no brain — just a net of nerves spread through its whole body — and it has thrived for more than half a billion years. We like that as a model for a small studio: everyone connected to everything, and nothing in the way.

Fig. 1 — Aurelia, the moon jellyfish. Tap it to make it swim.
